43rd Annual Conference of the German Linguistic Society (DGfS)
Modell und Evidenz / Model and Evidence
University of Freiburg, Germany
February 23-26, 2021

This year's general topic invites us to reflect upon the productive interaction between theoretical and conceptual innovation and new possibilities of data acquisition and processing. The topic will be approached by different linguistic disciplines, taking into account a variety of individual languages.

The annual conference of the German Linguistic Society offers linguists from all over the world an international forum for presenting their current research and exchanging ideas. The conference takes place over three days and includes invited plenary lectures, working groups, a poster session on computational linguistics as well as the business meetings of the German Linguistic Society and the special interest group (SIG) on computational linguistics.

On February 23, 2021, there are a number of preliminary, co-located events: a tutorial on computational linguistics, a doctoral colloquium, the Teacher Information Day of the DGfS Teacher Training Initiative, and the annual conference of the Working Group on Linguistic Pragmatics (ALP).

Registration for the annual conference will be open from November 15, 2020. "Early Bird"-Registration will be possible until February 1, 2021. Later registrations are possible until the second day of the conference (February 25, 2021). Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the conference will be held exclusively online.

Please understand that for reasons of data protection we will not be able to record any conference talks and can hence not provide any recordings thereof.
