Zur Sprache kommen: Visualising Research on Endangered Languages
Concluding the Emmy Noether project 'Non-Hierarchicality in Grammar (NonGram),' we are organizing an exhibition on linguistic fieldwork and endangered languages in collaboration with the Uniseum. The exhibition will be open from June 13, 2024, to August 25, 2024.
The exhibition will feature information about endangered languages, including Kera'a (India), Pomerano (Brazil), and Rusyn (Eastern Europe), as well as visualizations from the project and information about the work of linguists in the field.
Interview with Prof. Dr. Uta Reinöhl in Badische Zeitung in connection with our exhibition.
Conference talk by Naomi Peck about Language Documentation and Archiving in connection with our exhibition.
As part of the exhibition, a range of free guided tours and lectures will be held. We ask that you register for the tours in advance by emailing hilfskraefte@linguistik.uni-freiburg.de or phoning +49 761-203-3164.
